Our weekly rentals begin and end on Saturday. Due to the relatively short summer season, we do not accept weekend only rentals unless there is availability on both sides of the dates and then special arrangements must be made. The same is true for extended stays. Please give us a call to see if the weekend might work.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. on the first day of your reservation. If you will be arriving earlier or later, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your schedule. Check-out time is by 11:00 a.m. on the departure date.
Will my cell phone work at Maple Hill Resort?
Cell phone coverage in the Winter area is not guaranteed as certain company’s networks work better than others. Verizon has adequate coverage at the Resort while AT&T does not. Chances are coverage will be minimal.
We have a wireless access point for use by the guest of the Resort.
We do not have any cribs or high chair available and they would have to be brought with you to the Resort.
We ask you to bring your own bed sheets, pillowcases and bath towels. Refer to the cabin amenities for bed sizes. We do have them available if necessary. Please let us know if you wish us to provide bed sheets, pillowcases and bath towels. You should also bring beach towels for swimming, sweatshirts for cooler nights and a relaxing attitude.
For the enjoyment of all our guests, we ask that you make arrangements for your pets to take separate vacations. However, we will allow pets in certain cabins during certain times. Please make prior arrangements with us if you are bring your pet. If you need help finding a kennel nearby, let us know. (see our Pet Policy)
We do not allow RV’s, campers or tent camping at the Resort.
There are numerous lakes in the area including the famed Chippewa Flowage. For the avid fisherman, many of the area lakes are listed as Class A musky lakes. Perch Lake is one hundred and twenty acres and does not accommodate large speedboats. Our private boat launch is for smaller boats so we ask that you contact us to arrange for bring your boat prior to arrival. We are very concerned with spreading invasive plants into Perch Lake and therefore require that you clean the hull and trailer prior to launching and all water ballast emptied prior to arrival.
Our policy is to not allow them at Maple Hill Resort for the safety of the lake and the enjoyment of our neighbors and others staying at the Resort.
That is up to you as there are many roads and trails to ride and explore.
There are many great ATV trails in the area including the Tuscobia Trail and the Chequamegon National Forest. We ask that you contact us to let us know of your intent and if you bring you ATVs we ask that you do not ride the ATVs on the property without obtaining our prior consent.
At this time we are not open during the winter months.
A deposit is necessary to hold your reservation and needs to be post-marked and mailed within one week (seven days) of the date reservations are made. The balance is due upon arrival.
Where is Winter, Wisconsin?
We get this question often. Winter is located approximately 30 miles southeast of Hayward nestled up to Chippewa Flowage and the Chequamegon National Forest. It is a sportsmen’s paradise with numerous fishing, hunting, boating and north woods adventures on it doorstep.
Deposits (minus a $100 booking fee) will be returned if we receive your cancellation notice before 30 days of your reservation date and provided the cabin is re-rented. If cancellation is received with less than 30 day notice, deposits are non-refundable.
Our primary focus is to provide accommodations for family groups and reunions where each family can have their own cabin while gathering together around the group picnic area or fire pit for meals and conversations. The lake is crystal clear, great for swimming, sailing and boating. We strive to provide a relaxing atmosphere for family fun.
